About Us

Ka Hōkū Newsletter is written by Hawaiians for Hawaiians living in the Southern California area.  The overall mission of Ka Hōkū Newsletter is to perpetuate Hawaiian living in Southern California by promoting Hawaiians as industrious, active members of our communities, enlightening Hawaiians of the many opportunities available to them, and teaching Hawaiian culture and how it can be practiced in Southern California through a published periodical.

 

Ka Hōkū Newsletter’s inaugural edition was June/July 2008.  It is the only Hawaiian periodical printed in Southern California.
